Moe’s Rescue Story
Why rescuing matters
I’m a firm believer in giving homeless animals another chance. Here are some reasons you might want to consider if you’re thinking about bringing a pet into your home:
You give an animal a second chance.rescue dogs have already been through upheaval, neglect, abandonment, or simply bad luck. Adoption gives them stability in what has come to be known as their “forever home”.
You make room for another animal to be helped.
When one dog is adopted, that opens space in a shelter or foster home for the next dog who needs help. This is one of the best reasons because no kill shelters want to place pups. You may be saving a life.
Some shelters and rescue systems face serious overcrowding. Adoption can literally change an animal’s outcome.Rescue dogs can make extraordinary companions.
Plenty of rescued dogs are affectionate, funny, loyal, and deeply bonded to their people. They aren’t “damaged goods.” They’re dogs with histories.Adoption supports a more humane culture.
Choosing rescue helps reinforce the idea that animals are not disposable and that giving an existing dog a home can be just as meaningful as buying one.Reach Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based organization helping dogs and other animals find safe, loving homes. If you’re thinking about adding a four-legged family member, I encourage you to visit Reach and meet the animals currently waiting for theirs. Reach Rescue
